National Defense (0:00 - 0:59)

If we're broke, there is no National Defense.
In fact, there may not be a nation worth defending. We need to defend freedom and liberty and the Constitution. And that's under attack from our own government. It's unfortunate that we have more to worry about in Washington... the threat to our country is from within, not from without, so that's the most important thing.
Beyond that, sure, the government needs to defend our borders, defend this nation against invasion, defend our embassies around the world, but I think that we don't need to be starting wars that we don't need to be involved in.
I was very much against the Iraq War from the beginning. I said it was going to be a quagmire, it would be this generation's Vietnam. That we shouldn't have gone in, and I was exactly right.
